The House

Ok, a few rooms are close to being unpacked so thought I'd share some pics.

Front of house. Jacob's room is the front window.

Becca's loft was put together last night. She LOVES it!! They are snug as bugs in their little room. They also have both dressers and both book shelves in their room. Kaylee was VERY excited to get her books unpacked! 

The kitchen. Around to the left is the fridge and a pantry. 

The living room (looking in from the kitchen). The door on the left is the front door. Center door goes to the garage. Jacob's room and a bathroom are down that hall.

Yes, still a few boxes in this area, and it's not all organized like I'd like yet, but it's starting to be liveable!

What we've been up to...

Kaylee & Becca planned and made our meal tonight. They were Subway workers and made great sandwiches. 

After sandwiches we enjoyed Coke slushes made by Jacob :)

Skiing (Jacob, mom and dad) and tubing (kids & dad) over the 4th of July. Jacob stayed up for about 45 seconds! He held onto it nicely. 

Camped the last weekend of June in Duluth with the Hammonds. Here the kids are at Gooseberry Falls. We nicknamed ourselves the Hamstads (Hammond and Ringstad) and wore matching shirts that said Hamstad-a-palooza. A few people wondered if the band the Hamstads were playing in town that weekend :)

Summer

Jacob's 13th birthday he received (and was surprised by) a set of golf clubs. He & Dad went to the driving range on Sunday and then golfed 9 holes on Monday.

Becca (second from left) on our church's float for the Sartell parade. 

She can fly!  Kaylee is taking a diving class and LOVES IT!! Today they had to spring high enough to touch the pole. Her favorite dive...backwards. Tomorrow she should get to do a front flip, or even a back flip. 

And that brings me to the pic that really got me to blog today. Kaylee's been sleeping for almost 2 hours after an hour of swim club, 2 hours of marching band, clean house & play, then an hour of diving.

Time to Brag

Or brag some more, since I suppose most of the posts are brags about the kids! :-)

Becca demonstrating her toe-touch jump that impresses everyone who sees it.  A collective gasp is often heard when she does these in dance.

Jacob is a level 1b brown belt.  Which means he has 1 more brown belt test this spring before he starts training for his black belt!

 We went roller skating for Kaylee's 10th birthday :-)  Yes, actual roller skating.

 Well....except for Jacob, he chose the in-line skates.  And usually went so fast past the camera that I couldn't catch a non-blury photo.

 Becca and Kaylee taking it slow.  They did pretty good while holding Mom or Dad's hand.

By the end of the session Kaylee was circling the center while doing the YMCA actions.

Mom was on skates too, but those pictures are on Dad's phone, and he's not sure how to get those from the phone to the computer yet.

Merry Christmas

Becca finally got her Christmas present. 

--Which was supposed to be here on Dec 21, and got postponed, and then backordered, and then not available (without an email to us that it wasn't available).  So, I spent 40 minutes on the phone with best buy last week to get a replacement.-- 

She can really SING-IT now!
