Jacob's Birthday at the Mall of America

Jacob chose to have his birthday celebration at the Nickolodeon Universe Park at the Mall of America. He invited his friend Chance to come with us.

Kaylee & Jacob after coming off the Fairly Odd Coaster. They had a good time on the rollar coasters.

Dad, Becca, Jacob, Chance & Kaylee waiting in line for a ride.

Everyone on Swiper Sweepers. Dad went on many of the rides with the kids. Some fun for him, some a little silly for him. He didn't go on the bigger roller coasters though - I probably wouldn't either.

One of the last rides - the Splat 'O Sphere. Becca giggled on this one, but they were always above me so I couldn't get a pic of her.

--Kaylee ready to go. (Jacob was on the other side and I didn't get a pic of him before they took off)

Becca on the swings. She LOVED them. You can see her big grin in this pic - not her eyes, but the grin tells it all. She would have gone on them over and over and over again if given the chance. The Orange Splat roller coaster too - she would do that over and over again.

Becca told me on Sunday morning that she missed the Mall of America and wanted to go back on the swings again.

Kaylee road this (so I have heard) 3 times when at the park with Grandpa Allan & Grandma earlier this year. So she really wanted to go on it again. Jacob was nervous at first, but after Kaylee went ALONE on it, then Jacob got up the courage to try it. They did this one a few times. Jacob said it's like laying in bed with your legs up in the air. After going straight up and over, then it curves & flips a few times before coming to the end.

We had supper at Kokomo's Island Cafe. We like that restaurant. A family sitting near us bought the kids chocolate cake! We never got to thank them because it came after they left (by their asking). But it was MUCH appreciated by the kids. I guess the father was waiting for grandkids of his own and wanted to spoil some.

Looks like it was a lot of fun! And free cake?! That's fantastic! Free dessert is the best.
