2 weeks 'til Christmas

So many weeks since I've posted...so many things to do everyday that I don't get to the picture upload or posting very often.
Thanksgiving weekend we spent in Fergus Falls. Mom and the girls dancing the weekend away.
We also took in some bowling with friends Jen and kids. They had Rock-N-Bowl for families the afternoon. So, it was dark with occasional party lights.

7 years ago we had a real tree - which lost all it's needles a week before Christmas. So, we bought an artificial tree we've been using since. We thought we'd try out a real tree again this year - LOVE the smell. The kids had a good time hanging all their ornaments - and commenting how old Mom's are!
Last Saturday we went to a Christmas party at the elementary school. The kids had lots of crafts to do.

Santa was at the party. Becca was VERY excited to see him and HAD to have her picture taken with him. She was all smiles while waiting in line and giddy while talking with him. I have never had a child of mine be so excited about seeing Santa. It was lots of fun for Mom to see her that way :-)
They also had a horse-drawn wagon ride at the party. It was about 10 degrees that morning - with a bitter cold wind - in the middle of a field with no wind cover. So, it was a cold ride, but still a little fun.

Kaylee and Jacob bundled up on the ride.

Grandpa, Mom and Becca bundled up on the ride.

After warming up from our 'sleigh' ride we went to cousin Kasen's 1st birthday party. He's such a cutie! He had a good time with his new toys - and playing with his cousins.

Tuesday while Kasen was at our house, Becca got into the toybox and Kasen started filing it back up - on top of her. Too cute!

This afternoon the kids frosted & sprinkled cookies. Mmmm, frosting.

so, i know you've been busy - but i've been checking often for updates and am very happy to see my MN kids!!

looks like lots of fun - the sleigh ride through snow. jealousy. and i want to put a hat on grandpa. do you find yourself trying to outfit him after getting all your kids bundled? i'm sure i would've voiced my concern for his ears.....which he's probably voiced to me many times during my younger years. =]

your toy box looks a LOT like winter's toy box. same color even!

are those coke ornaments hanging over your table? they're really cool looking.

the Coke 'ornaments' are actually coke bottles. I found those cool ornament shaped ones at 'the store that should not be mentioned' (walmart). It was fun to drink out of them. And then I thought I'd hang them for a neato new decoration for this year.
