Jacob is very excited to be playing football. Today was the Kick-off Classic before the regular season starts this Saturday. His other games will all be played on Saturday mornings.

Jacob played safety on the defense. He's all alone in the mid-right of the picture.
The score with 16 seconds left in the game - and that's how it remained at the end.

Jacob was also the kicker for his team today. They were playing on the high school football field and had an announcer for the game. So, either before or after the kick (whenever the announcer was paying attention I think) it was announced, "Ringstad with the kick." I'm proud of our football player!

i like your "just 5th graders" comment. and i'm being serious - it's cute. can't believe how old your kids are!
once the score was 16-16, did you secretly wish no more points would be scored so at 16 seconds you could take a cool picture? if so, i approve. =]

Actually, the guy in front of me pointed out to his daughter the 16-16-16. And then I thought "Oo, cool picture!"
