Week Activities

Last week was a very busy week for the kids.
Becca had her third week of gymnastics. She loves it! She is very good too. She's probably the oldest in her class of 3-5 year olds, and she's been in it 2 times before, so she pretty much knows what's going on. Her favorite part is the balance beam. They have two low ones and one high one. She walks forward, backwards, bunny hops, and even did a forward roll on the low one.
Kaylee also had her third week of gymnastics. This is the first year she's in the beginner class. She has also taken a few sessions of the 3-5 year old class. Here she's in the pink doing a strattle forward roll. Her favorite activity is the bars. They have the kids do the splits three different ways each classtime (right leg forward, left leg forward, and out to the side). Kaylee can get into the full splits doing the middle splits - both legs out to the side!
Jacob has just one week left of baseball. In Thursday nights game last week he had many good hits. Most of them went right over the pitchers head and into the outfield. He got home on most of his at-bats. At the beginning of the year they just batted everyone through the order and then the teams switched places. After July 4th they have been playing 3 outs or 6 runs, whichever comes first. Jacob's team usually gets 6 runs in an inning before they have 3 outs!
He also played at the pitchers position a few innings (standing near the pitcher, but not pitching). He caught a fly ball during one of those innings to get the batter out! His team is very good in the field. Most games they have a few double or even triple plays!

Becca had GREAT Theatre camp last week for 5 mornings. They would sing, dance, play games, and painted their own costumes as princesses. On the last day they had sharing time and did actions to a poem read by their teacher and sang a song.

Kaylee also had GREAT theatre camp last week. Her class did many of the same things Becca's did, but they also each got to memorize one line of a poem to perform on sharing day, along with a song and actions to another poem.

I tried to upload the videos of their sharing days, but it's not working, so you'll have to imagine it yourself :-) Maybe I'll try another day.
