Last Days of School

The last day of school for Becca (K), Kaylee (2nd) and Jacob (4th). There were several field trips and fun days in the last weeks of school. Mom participated in as many as she could too.

Kaylee at the St John's Arboretum where they were studying insects.
A bug that Kaylee & Mom found. It was tiny and bright red.

Becca's class went to the Amaz'n Farmyard. Her favorite part was the room with the kittens.

Becca's class also went to the park for one of their last days. At the park Becca was bumped in the mouth, which helped her very loose tooth get looser....

...and finally come out! The new tooth was already in behind it.

The 4th graders had a track & field meet day. Jacob ran the 200 meter, the 800 meter, did the javolin throw (with a swim noodle), and the standing long jump. I thought it was lots of fun to be the timer and measurer for different events...maybe I should do that for a living :-)

While Mom was at Jacob's track/field meet, Kaylee was participating in the 2nd grade field day. So, after the meet I went over to see her do the last few events.

Jacob's class was the first (ever or at least in a while) 4th grade class to have graduation at his elementary. The last day of school they had a ceremony to recognize all the 4th graders, and to also recognize the Student Council (Jacob was on that), and other acedemic extras that some students participated in.
Wow, we have a fifth grader now! He's ready for the Middle School and is excited about band (he's playing his Dad's cornet) & choir.
