We spent a weekend in Minneapolis with Grandpa Melberg visiting Carrie, Micah & Kasen and seeing lots of sights the kids have never seen.

Our first stop was Como Zoo. I think the older two have been there, but it was long enough ago that they didn't remember.

The infamous giant spoon & cherry...I had been to that at least once, but neither Pat nor the kids had ever seen it.

Jacob likes buildings, researching facts about them, and remembering all those facts! His favorite right now is the Capella tower in downtown Minneapolis because it's the tallest skyscraper there right now.

Took the kids around Nicollet Mall, in a department store and through a skyway. Becca, Kaylee, Kasen & Jacob checking out the street below.

We even went up to the observation floor of the Foshey tower. Spotted Target Field, lots of buildings, the airport, and if we squinted, the Mall of America.

Our last stop of the weekend was a lock & dam along the Mississippi and got to see a pontoon go through it. As we were leaving the rain was coming. We got soaked before we got to our cars.
