Tree Down

While we were waiting out our Friday afternoon rainfall at Higher Ground, a wind storm was attacking Sartell. Pat was at the office, so went home to see if there was any damage and found one our nice trees down, and the electricity off. The tree fell mostly into a bare area of the yard, a little bit onto an evergreen tree. Luckily that's the only damage we had, so the tree waited until we got home on Sunday to cut it up.

The tree became a trailer full to go to the compost dump...

a pile of nice firewood...
and larger chunks that will need to be split for firewood.
So, now we have an empty space in the yard. The clothesline seems in the way now and may need to be moved. We'll leave the space empty for now until we decide what we want to do. It may be nice to have that play space. It's a nice level area of the yard. Might have to take up volleyball or badmitton. I like the idea of a pool, but the lawn mower doesn't want to have to mow around that - I understand.
