Jacob turned 8 years old today! Wow! He had some friends over this evening for a Volcano birthday party.

Jacob & his friends waiting to see the volcano blow. Jacob & Mom built the volcano to have at his party. We put in baking soda & colored vinegar to get it to bubble.

Jacob pouring in more vinegar to make it bubble some more. The kids kept chanting "give it more juice," but eventually the vinegar ran out. Then Jacob said "It's dormant"

It was so fun to be at Jacob's party! I still get a kick out of his dormant sentence. He is so smart!

that is an AWESOME volcano!!!! i can remember the one i had to make for school one year....and now i'm embarrassed, cuz it was terrible in relation. but it's so fun to watch the bubbling over.
i had a dream mt. rainier erupted. i think last weekend.....maybe in honor of your bday party.
can't wait to see everyone this weekend. =]
